Walgreens Breast Cancer Awareness Day

The annual Walgreens Breast Cancer Awareness day will be October 12 from 9 a.m. until 4 p.m. They are looking for local entertainers. Interested parties can contact Jeannette at 479-414-7545 or inquire at Walgreens in Greenwood. Booths are also available Karren at 479-883-5805 or karrenawareness@gmail.com. A blood drive will be held, contact Christy at 479-322-0770. Raffle tickets for a Remington Bolt Action 770 are for sale as well. Donations are also graciously accepted in the store. Heavens to Betsy will be playing on the square.

Buried Treasure this Sunday

This Sunday, Oct 13, from 2-5 p.m., there will be tours departing every 15 minutes from the Jenny Lind Cemetery, Highway 71 and Gate Nine Road. There is no admission fee. Costumed historical interpreters will portray early citizens of Jenny Lind. Sponsored by South Sebastian County Historical Society.

Bell Park Fundraiser

“An Evening in the Park with Tim Ernst” Sunday November 3rd at 6 p.m. at the Senators Ed Wilkinson Pavilion at Bell Park. Guest speaker is Arkansas’ leading wilderness photographer, Tim Ernst. Program and Dinner is $30 per person or a table for $300 includes 8 seats. Tickets are available at Osborn Insurance Agency, Greenwood Chamber, Farmers Bank and Johnson Dermatology.

New Paintings at the Art Gallery

The Greenwood Art Gallery has just set up new paintings. It is located at the Chamber of Commerce on the Square. The Art Gallery will be open two days a week: Monday and Friday 9 am to 3 pm. This rotation of artwork, from the Greenwood Art Guild, features the following artists: Nina Looper, Shirley Rambin, Martha Efurd, Linda Faber, Lorrie Bridges, Sharla Derry, Lisa Clay, Julie Mayser, Jeanette Hunnicutt and Teri Hicks.
