Santa Claus is coming to town

The KTCS Santa Train will be at Farmers Bank’s Main Branch on December 6 from 4-5 p.m. Free portraits with Santa will be available.

Volunteers needed to deliver turkeys to shut-in senior citizens.

Walters, Gaston, Allison & Parker are seeking volunteers to help prep and deliver free turkeys to shut-in senior citizens on Thanksgiving morning. Anyone interested in helping with this project call Walters, Gaston, Allison & Parker and ask for Sheri at 996-2100. These deliveries will be to shut-in senior citizens in the Greenwood area.

Curves Holiday Market

Curves in Greenwood will be holding their annual Holiday Market on November 23 from 10 a.m.-2 p.m. Booth rental is available. Please call 996-9601 for more information

Veterans Day Pictures

The 2013 Veterans’ Day Assembly picture is now available for pick up at the high school office. There is no charge for the picture. DVD copies of the assembly will also be available upon request.

Greenwood Trail of Lights

Focus on Greenwood would like to invite everyone to visit the Greenwood Trail of Lights in Bell Park. The Lights will be on nightly from December 1 through December 31 from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. There is a suggested donation of $3 per car. Proceeds are used to help local youth with medical expenses and scholarships.

Yule 5K Race registration

Registration time has arrived for the annual 5K Yule Race. The race will be held on December 14, 2013. There will be a prize for the best Christmas Theme outfit. Pre-registrations must be in by December 12 and T-shirts will be given to the first 150 pre-registrants. The forms are available online at www.greenwoodarkansas.com under “Calendar of Events” or at the Greenwood Chamber of Commerce.
