Benefit BBQ for Laura Wallace Rice

There will be a Benefit Barbecue for Laura Wallace Rice on March 15 from 11:30 a.m. until 2:30 p.m. The Benefit, hosted by the Jenny Lind Masonic Lodge, will be held at the Jenny Lind Community Building on Gate 9 Loop. A BBQ sandwich with all of the fixings is just $7. For more information, call Janie Reno at 462-1013.

Save the Date

The Greenwood Chamber of Commerce will hold their General Membership Meeting on March 20 at the Senator Ed Wilkinson Pavilion. The meeting will start at noon and will feature Dr. Ayhan Zia, Interventional Cardiologist as guest speaker.

Greenwood Merchants Association

The Greenwood Merchants Association will meet on Thursday, March 13 at 5:30 p.m. at the Chamber of Commerce Meeting Room. This is an opportunity to meet other merchants, share ideas, improve commerce and discuss business topics important to Greenwood. For more information, call Khristi at 996-2127.

Miss Greenwood Pageant

Hackett Car Show

The 10th Annual Hackett Hot Rod Car Show and Poker Run will be held on April 5 at the Hackett City Park. The car show benefits the Hackett Senior Class of 2014. Registration begins at 8 a.m. with a $20/vehicle or motorcycle registration fee. The Poker Run begins a 9 a.m. and costs $10/hand. The last bikes will be out at 11 a.m. Trophies will be presented at 3 p.m. For more information, contact Tracie Opolka at tracie.opolka@hacketthornets.org.

Senior Center Lunch

Betty Wilkinson Senior Activity Center offers lunch at 11:30 each day, followed by cards, dominoes and visits with new and old friends. The center is open 5 days a week from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. SEE PAGE 3 FOR THEIR MENU.
