Annexation Study Session

There will be a study session of the Greenwood City Council on Thursday, April 3 at 6 p.m. The session will take place at City Hall and will be a non-voting meeting to study the subject of annexation for Greenwood.

Lora Lea Rice Fundraiser

A fundraiser will be held on Saturday, April 5 from 2-6 p.m. on the Town Square in Greenwood. There will be entertainment, raffles, a cupcake war, T-shirt sales, a potato bar, an auction and more. All proceeds will go to the “Lora Rice Medical Fund” established at Arvest Bank.

Miss Greenwood Pageant

Community Outreach — Alzheimer’s

There will be a free community outreach on April 9 at the Betty Wilkinson Senior Activity Center. The event will be presented from 10-11 a.m. by the Alzheimer’s Association and will present information about Alzheimer’s. Open Buddy Bass Tournament

The 2nd Annual Randy Davis Memorial Scholarship Fund Open Buddy Bass Tournament will take place at Shoal Bay Park on Lake Dardanelle, Saturday April 19. The entry fee is $75, big bass $5, cash only with a 60/40 payback. Entries must be paid no later than 5:45 a.m. Take off is 6 a.m. with weigh in at 2:30 p.m. All proceeds go to the Randy Davis EMS Memorial Scholarship Fund. Greenwood Car Show

Greenwood’s Annual Open Car Show is here again. Now in its 27th year, this show takes place on Town Square, April 26 from 8 a.m. until 3 p.m. With over $1,200 in cash and prizes, this show has a huge turnout every year.
