City closes for Holiday

Greenwood City Hall is closed today.

Free pet registration

Remember for the month of January, free registration for your pets. You can register them with any of the three local vets or you can come down to city hall & register through the water department.

Hackett School blood drive

Hackett High School is starting off the new year by saving lives through blood donation with Arkansas Blood Institute (ABI). All healthy adults, 16 and older,* are encouraged to donate blood from 9 a.m. to 1:30 p.m., Wednesday, Jan. 8.

ATU host Time-Out for Tech

All high school seniors and their families are invited to Time-Out for Tech 2014, which will be hosted by the Arkansas Tech University Office of Admissions on Thursday, Feb. 13.

The annual preview day provides prospective Arkansas Tech students with a chance to learn more about the academic programs, student housing options and campus life opportunities available on the Russellville campus.

Nashville Live at Excelsior

Wanda Lloyd will emcee for Nashville Live, a 7-piece band, at the Excelsior Building on Highway 253 on January 3. The free concert is open to the public and will run from 6:30 p.m. until 9:30 p.m. Everyone is invited.
