Benefit Chili Supper and Pie Auction

To benefit Mary Elaine Davidson and her medical treatment and expenses, Farm Credit of Western Arkansas will be holding a benefit Chili super and pie auction Saturday, January 18th the the Community Pavilion at Bell Park. Chili served 4-7 p.m. and the pie action will begin at 5:30 p.m. Cost is $5.00 per person and additional donations are appreciated.

Herbal Tea Party

The River Valley Master Gardeners Herbal Adventure Committee will host an Herbal Tea Party. After water, tea is the second most popular drink in the world. Learn the history of tea and European tea customs. Wear a hat and gloves(optional) and have your picture taken in “tea party” regalia to remember the day. January 18, 2014 from 9:30 AM-12:00 Noon. Dixie Theatre fundraising continues

There is a Dixie Theatre fundraiser set for 5 p.m. on Saturday, January 25. The event will take place at the Mansfield City Hall. In addition to live bluegrass bands, there will be a dinner and concessions. For more information, call Becky at 479-928-5552.

First Impressions class offered

The Arkansas Department of Parks and Tourism will be presenting a training class called First Impressions. This is beneficial for anyone that is a “touch-point” business with contacts for visitors to the area. The “Welcome to Arkansas” Training Program seeks to improve customer service by taking the participants to a new level of awareness of the needs of visitors to our community. The First Impressions class will be held on February 13, 2014, at the Farmers Bank Means Wilkinson community room from 9:00 a.m. until noon
