Invitation for Thanksgiving Run

Sandy Johnson would like to invite everyone to come down to the square at 7 a.m. on Thanksgiving Day for the traditional Thanksgiving Run, Walk, Jog or Crawl.

Christmas in the County Holiday Market

Dayton EHC will sponsor a Christmas County Holiday Market, Saturday Nov 23 from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. and Sunday November 24 from noon to 4 p.m. at the Dayton Community Building, 2229 E. Hwy 2552, Huntington, Ark. There will be Door Prizes, Food Concession’s are available.

Nashville Live at Excelsior

Wanda Lloyd will emcee for Nashville Live, a 7-piece band, at the Excelsior Building on Highway 253 on December 6. The free concert is open to the public and will run from 6:30 p.m. until 9:30 p.m. Everyone is invited.

Mansfield Christmas Parade

The City of Mansfield’s Annual Christmas Parade has been set for Saturday, December 7, 2013 at 2 pm. This years theme is ‘Hometown Christmas’. Line up will begin at the Mansfield Elementary School at 12:30 pm. For more info, contact Stephanie or Becky at the City Hall 479-928-5552.

Girls Inc celebrating 80 years

Girls Inc of Fort Smith (formerly Fort Smith Girls Clubs) is looking for past members, volunteers, parents, employees, staff, board members or any other supporters of Girls Inc for the upcoming 80th Anniversary celebration in the Spring of 2014. A Christmas Carol in Van Buren

The Semi-annual production of “A Christmas Carol” by the Earthen Vessels Drama Company will be held at the King Opera House, 407 Main Street, Van Buren, Ark. on Friday, December 6, 2013 at 7 p.m., Saturday, December 7th at 2 p.m. and 8 p.m., and Sunday, December 8th at 2:30 p.m.

This adaption of Charles Dickens’ famous play has been updated this year by the director, Jolene Barker, and her staff. The performances will last two hours including a 15 minute intermission with refreshments sold in the foyer.

Purple Friday Weekend in Ozark

Ozark kicks off the Holiday Trail of Lights on Friday, November 22 from 5-8 p.m. and Saturday, November 23 from 4-8 p.m. There will be free ice skating, toboggan runs and horse & carriage rides. Santa will be available to visit with and shops will be open on the square in downtown Ozark.

Bulldog Christmas Parade

“A Bulldog Christmas Parade” presented by the Greenwood Chamber of Commerce will be held on December 9 at 7 p.m. The deadline to enter is December 6. Entries and rules are available through the Greenwood Chamber of Commerce.
