Pain Patients Advocacy Week Rally

The Pain Patients Advocacy Week rally will be held Saturday, April 26 at noon at Creekmore Park, corner of Rogers Avenue and Greenwood Road in Fort Smith.

The rally will celebrate the passage of of the Arkansas Chronic Pain Treatment Act, which was signed into law by former Gov. Mike Huckabee April 16, 2003. The rally also seeks to raise awareness for making more pain medications available for the treatment of chronic pain.

This rally is sponsored by the Pain Patients Coalition and the American Pain Institute, which was founded by the Rev. Dr. Ronald V. Myers, medical director at the Wellness Clinic of Roland. For information on the rally, call Constance Durkin, (479) 782-1411, or Teresa Earls, (501) 226-9812.

Dixie Theatre Fundraiser

Springstreet Bluegrass will be singing at the next Dixie Theatre Fundraiser on May 10th at the Mansfield Middle School Cafeteria beginning at 5PM. This group has been a regular at Turkey Track! Lora Rice 5K Benefit

A 5K Run/Walk to benefit the Lora Rice medical fund will be held on April 26 at Bell Park. Early registration will begin at 7:15 a.m. with the race starting at 8 a.m. For more information and to preregister, call 479-996-7718 or email lorarice5k@gmail.com. All proceeds will go to the “Lora Rice Medical Fund” established at Arvest Bank.

Resch Reunion

The Resch Family Reunion will be Saturday, May 3 at Creekmore Park in Fort Smith from 9 a.m. until 4 p.m. All family and friends are invited to attend. It’s potluck so bring your favorite dish and enjoy visiting. They will also have an auction. 25 Year Mansfield High Alumni
