Despite Mother Nature’s contribution of a late April shower last Saturday, the 26th Annual Greenwood Car Show was successful in attracting nearly 90 exhibitors from three states and hundreds of show fans braved the weather to see their favorite street rods, rat rods, muscle cars and more.
The Top 75 exhibitors were awarded trophy plaques provided by show sponsors and the Greenwood A&P Commission. Awards also went to Best of the Show for the car, truck and rat rod exhibited along with awards for the best paint, best interior and best engine at the show.
Local restaurants and merchants were included in the event by providing discounts for meals the day of the show, free transportation was provided to the restaurants and merchants in Greenwood during show hours.
The car show committee would like to thank the many sponsors of the 2013 show, the City of Greenwood, Mayor Del Gabbard and all of the Greenwood City Departments.
Additional advertising and promotion was provided by the Greenwood A&P Commission. We appreciate the Greenwood Chamber of Commerce help with the show.
Proceeds from the show will be used for contributions to the Community Clearing House, kid’s back pack program, two scholarships for Greenwood high school seniors and other local charities.
A special thanks to the car show committee and volunteers for the many hours contributed to the success of the 2013 show.
