Betty Mayo is turning 90! Come by Farmers Bank Community Room on Saturday, October 19th, from 1 to 4 pm to say hello and have a piece of cake. Hosted by her children and their spouses, Jeannie Mayo Pope and Wayne, and JD and Pam Mayo.
Betty was born in the Cornish community which later became Camp Chaffee. She graduated from Greenwood High School in 1942. She and her husband, John, owned several grocery stores in Greenwood with the last one being Piggly Wiggly. She has two children, four grandchildren and 6 great-grandchildren. She is a member of the First Baptist Church in Greenwood and a charter member of the South Sebastian County Historical Society.
