The fourth annual Miss Greenwood Pageant was held on April 5 at the Performing Arts Center. It was a great success thanks to all who participated and those who came out to be entertained. William Tedford a student at Greenwood High opened up the nights festivities by singing our National Anthem. Our emcee was Channel 5 news’ own Ashley Beck. Hannah Hesslen, Miss Greenwood 2013 gave her farewell speech prior to Darryne Dahlem being crowned your 2014 Miss Greenwood. Also present was Lauren Weaver who was your 2011 Miss Greenwood. Miss Weaver was crowned Miss Arkansas Teen USA this past February. She will be competing for the title of Miss Teen USA this August in the Bahamas. The Miss Greenwood Pageant is a community event sponsored by Sports Graphics which is owned by Michael and Tracy Whitson. All flower arrangements were provided by Greenwood Flower Shop and gifts. Thank you Kristi Phillips and Staff. Special thanks go out to Beef O’ Brady’s, The Greenwood Tradition, Kristina Thomas Photography and The Greenwood Democrat.
