The Greenwood Art Guild Artist of the Month is Linda Faber. Her artwork will be displayed in Greenwood City Hall for the month of June. Ms. Faber is well known for her decorative painting and realistic depictions of Civil War scenes. She also does historically correct paintings of U.S. Deputy Marshals of the Judge Parker realm that includes guns, clothing, saddles and horse tack from the era. Ms. Faber has been painting for over 20 years. Her favorite medium is acrylics, although she also enjoys oils and colored pencils. Her favorite surface is just about anything – wood, fabric, tin and eggs! However, her passion is raising her own gourds to paint.
Linda is a member of the National Society of Decorative Artists and Tulsa Town Tolers. She has taught painting classes in her home and at Michael’s in Fort Smith. Ms. Faber paints with the artists at Creative Art Network at Chaffee Crossing. She attends national painting conventions annually in Houston Texas, The Woodlands area.
