University of Arkansas at Fort Smith chancellor Paul Beran is the featured speaker at the Jan. 3 First Friday Breakfast hosted by the Fort Smith Regional Chamber of Commerce.
The event is scheduled for 7:30 a.m. inside the Reynolds Room at the UAFS Smith-Pendergraft Campus Center. Beran will share the university’s newly unveiled master plan. UAFS officials say they’ve spent a year updating a 23-year-old master plan to reflect a “growing and maturing university.”
“This is an exciting time for the UAFS campus,” Beran stated in a recent news release. “We truly appreciate those who took time to share their ideas with the planning team during the past year. Those ideas have now been solidified, and UAFS will act on this master plan in the years ahead.”
Beran, who described the plan as a “road map” to guide the development of the campus, said the plan addresses new buildings and the direction of campus growth, as well as design standards to help preserve the campus character over the next 15 to 20 years.
Cost to attend the event is $17.50 per member. For more information, email firstname.lastname@example.org.
