Fire fighters hard at work in Greenwood

<p>Last Wednesday, the Greenwood Fire Department responded to a fire at 106 South Fowler in Greenwood. The Greenwood Rural Fire Department was called in to provide backup. The fire was in a detached 2-car garage and the cause was still being investigated. No lives were in danger and the fire took several hours to get completely out of danger. The neighboring houses were protected with CAFS (Compressed Air Foam System) as a safety measure and Sebastian County EMS was on hand to evaluate personnel for heat stress or heat related illness. All fire fighters were cleared by the paramedics.</p>
