Troy Gaston and Dena Dolan with the Walters and Gaston Law Firm presents Race Director Randy Davis with a $1000 check for their sponsorship for this year’s Freedomfest 5K run taking place on July 4th.

The Walters & Gaston sponsorship will go toward the chip timing of this year’s race.

Chip timing is a method in which the race is timed electronically, insuring a more accurate time for the runner.

Additional activities to this year’s race will be a most patriotic dressed contest, oldest runner, youngest runner, and runner who traveled the farthest.

This year’s race will be on July 4 at 7:30 a.m. and sign-ins will start at 6:30 a.m. in the Means Wilkinson Community Room.

Pre-registration will end at noon on July 1st and the entry fee is $20.

Registration on the day of the race is $30 and ends at 7:20 a.m. T-shirts will be given to the first 300 preregistered runners.
