Teachers at Westwood were rewarded for reaching their goals with a face full of cream and the pie as well.

Westwood Elementary had a goal celebration Friday, September 13. Third through fifth graders last year set goals for the benchmark test. In an assembly last Friday, the school celebrated reaching goals and setting new ones for the next year.

Five teachers, Mrs. Pond, Mrs. Staton, Mrs. Jones, Mrs. Foster and Mrs. Gill all received a special gift for reaching their goal. They were given a pie in the face.

Coach Rick Jones was a guest speaker. He talked about the importance of setting goals and striving to reach them. Jabe Burgess was on hand as well. He led the school in a song written last year by Mrs. Amy Barker’s class about the 7 Habits of Being a Leader. Westwood is a Leader in Me School.
