Guns’N’Hoses in Hackett

Hackett fire department and law enforcement staffs are asking all area residents to come to the Guns ‘N Hoses blood drive with Arkansas Blood Institute (ABI). It will occur Tuesday, July 15, from 2 to 6 p.m., at the Hackett Fire Department Training Center.

To fuel a little healthy competition, donors will choose which department to support by donating on behalf of law enforcement or the fire department.

Not only will each blood donor save up to three lives by giving, each will also receive a commemorative Guns ‘N Hoses T-shirt and two tickets to the Tulsa Zoo.

Anyone who is healthy and 16 years of age can donate*, and donations can be made every 56 days.

Patients in 21 hospitals across western and south central Arkansas rely solely on blood donors with Arkansas Blood Institute in their battles for life.

Appointments are not required but can be made by calling 877-340-8777 or visiting arkbi.org.

* 16 year olds must weigh at least 125 pounds and provide signed parental permission; 17 year olds must weigh at least 125 pounds; 18+ year olds must weigh at least 110 pounds
