McDonald’s Manager, Chad Steele, provides a sponsorship check to Tracy Haest.

Tracy Haest shows her appreciation to Mark Steele with McDonald’s for their continued support and sponsorship of the FreedomFest 5K, taking place on July 4th.

The McDonald’s sponsorship will go toward the continued growth of this race. One of the recent growths for Greenwood’s FreedomFest is the addition of chip timing.

Chip timing is a method in which the race is timed electronically, insuring a more accurate time for the runner.

This year’s race will take place on July 4 at 7:30 a.m. with the check-in beginning at 6:30 a.m. at the Means Wilkinson Community Room Center at Farmers Bank. Pre-registration is $20, $30 thereafter, T-Shirts will be given to the first 300 registrants.

A new added feature this year is online registration. Runners can register online this year by going to https://mylaps.racepartner.com/greenwoodfreedomfest5k/.
