New changes for Greenwood High School students

Greenwood High School staff will host their annual Open House on August 12, at 6:30 p.m., in the Performing Arts Center. Following a brief discussion in the PAC, students, parents and staff will run through a 7-period bell schedule in order to meet each of their instructors.

Several changes and additions will greet students this Fall. Students will be given identification cards which are bar coded for use in the library and cafeteria.

As well as being offered a daily breakfast, students will have the opportunity to purchase meal items or healthy snacks before second period and sixth period. Lunch prices this year will be $2.25.

Students will receive a copy of their class schedule that night and parking tags will go on sale the following morning at 8 a.m. in the office.

Also, the high school will have Facebook and Twitter pages this year in order to keep students, parents and our community better informed.

As well as schedules, students will receive other information and several handouts. Administrators and office personnel will be on hand to answer questions. The school invites all students and families to join their staff on Monday night to kick off the 2013-2014 school year.
