As in past years, poultry to be exhibited at the Sebastian County Fair must have proof of a negative test for Pullorum-Thyroid. Exhibitors will be required to show this proof before poultry can be accepted at the fair.
Poultry testing will be done on Saturday, August 17. Testing will be done at the Sebastian County Fairgrounds in Greenwood beginning at 8 a.m. Local veterinarians can also perform this test for a small fee.
If exhibitors have any questions, they can contact Marilin Branum, Sebastian County Fair Poultry Superintendent at 996-0064 or the Sebastian County Extension Office in Greenwood at 996-4131.
