The Sebastian County Road Department is coordinating a cleanup of debris left from the recent ice storm, according to a news release.
The cleanup effort is for vegetation debris such as broken limbs, brush, shrubs and/or trees. The cleanup does not include household hazardous waste or regular household garbage, and such items will not be collected, the release states.
Collection crews will begin picking up debris on county-maintained road right of ways in the unincorporated areas of the county on Tuesday, the release states. Property owners along county-maintained roads are encouraged to bring all ice debris from the property to the county right of way before Tuesday.
Crews are not permitted to collect debris from non-county maintained roads or from private property, according to the release.
Those with questions or concerns are asked to call the county judge’s office at 783-6139.
