Judith Miller

Sebastian County Treasurer/Collector will seek reelection in 2014. Miller, a Republican, resides in Greenwood.

Miller has served Sebastian County government for over 25 years and has served as Treasurer/Collector for the last five years. Miller is responsible for investment of the County’s revenue and the collection of personal and real estate taxes. Miller’s service to the county encompasses a very conservative financial approach in the management of county funds.

Miller has introduced some innovative way to make the Treasurer/Collector’s office more efficient and convenient in its service to the public. The Collector’s office offers partial payments, online payments, or Smartphone applications for taxpayers. Taxpayers can view their statement on line plus their receipts. Miller has updated the Treasurer’s and Collector’s software to make communication with the taxpayer easier and keep the offices up on the latest technology

Miller and her staff strive for fairness and equitable treatment of all taxpayers. She listens to taxpayer concerns and is willing to offer whatever help she can to resolve issues and concerns within the confines of the law.

Miller, a Greenwood native, graduated from Greenwood High School. She is a member of the Arkansas Association of Treasurers and sits on their board of continuing education. She is also a member and board member of the Arkansas Association of Collectors. Miller is a member and board member of NACCTFO, National Association of Counties, International Association of Clerks and Treasurers. Miller is also a member of the South Sebastian Historical Society, graduate of Sebastian County Sheriff’s Academy, Fort Smith Police Academy, and the Fort Smith Fire Academy. She is a member of First Baptist Church of Greenwood. Miller is a board member of Area Agency on Aging. A current member of NRA.

Miller is married to Sam Miller and they have two children and two grandchildren.
