Spring Cleanup Campaign sweeping through area

Spring is in the air and that means it’s time for the Spring Cleanup Campaign. The people of Sebastian County are making plans this month to pick up litter, tackle illegal dumps and do whatever else it takes to put a shine on Sebastian County, according to County Judge David Hudson. This countywide cleanup campaign is in coordination with the Great American Cleanup.

They are counting on volunteers, young and old, to join in the local efforts for litter prevention, beautification and community improvement. The County Campaign will take place on Saturdays starting April 5th and go through May 10th.

“The cleanup campaigns for our County are an important activity to improve our community,” says Judge Hudson. “By working together to clean up our properties we all can make a difference and make our community a more beautiful, safer and healthier place to live, work and play.”

To help reduce mosquito breeding “passenger tires (no rims)” will again be accepted as a part of the Spring cleanup.
