Times Record Hosts Staff Barbecue For Longtime Publisher

Longtime Times Record publisher Gene Kincy grilled lunch for newspaper staff members at a retirement barbecue Wednesday.

Kincy, publisher of the Times Record from 1994 until May, will retire from Stephens Media next month after 40 years with the company.

Kincy was publisher of the Springdale Morning News from 1987-1994, before assuming that title at the Times Record. He began his career in newspapers 40 years ago as an account executive at the Rogers Daily News, where he was promoted to advertising director. In 1980, he was publisher of the Oskaloosa Herald in Iowa.

Tom Stallbaumer, longtime Stephens Media executive and publisher of The Morning News in Springdale from 1994-2010, took over as Times Record publisher on May 20.
