It was an exciting week of volunteerism here in Greenwood as various Teen Green volunteers participated with trash pickup throughout the city in support of the City Wide Clean Up hosted by the Keep Arkansas Beautiful Campaign.

Ninty-five volunteers participated, contributing 125 volunteer hours toward this years campaign. Teen Green would like to thank the following volunteer groups: GHS Spirit Squads (Main Street to Square) , GHS Varsity Volleyball (Denver Street to La Fiesta), GJHS Freshman Cheer (Daisy Street to Fair Grounds), Boy Scout Troop 54 (Hwy 10 and walking trails) and Cub Scout Pack 53 (Bell Park) and a special thank you to Mayor Gabbard and the City of Greenwood for their continued support to these youth programs.

Volunteer opportunities are available throughout the summer and fall where your community service hours will count toward college scholarship applications. Contact Teen Green at 252-2610 or find them on Facebook Teen Green-Greenwood.
