Arville Stallings

Arville Stallings, 83, of Greenwood, died Friday, April 12, 2013 in Greenwood. He was retired from Western Auto Supply Company, a Deacon of Greenwood First Baptist Church, member of Meno’s Sunday School Class, veteran of the U.S. Army and Korean War, past Greenwood City Councilman, member of Greenwood City Planning Commission, past president of the Greenwood School Board, past member of the Sebastian County Fair Board, past member of the Greenwood Roundup Club, Major in the Sebastian County Mounted Patrol from 1963 to 1966, and Committee Member Farm Home Administration from 1962 to 1971. He was preceded in death by his wife, Delois “Bo” Stallings.

He is survived by two sons, Wayne Stallings and wife, Pam and Mark Stallings and wife, Dana, all of Greenwood; one brother, Delbert Stallings of Greenwood; four sisters, June Pelham, Darl Kulmaczewski, Joyce Russell, and Becky Trotter all of Greenwood; four grandchildren, Chrissy Stallings, Amber Konkler and husband, Heath, Evan Stallings and wife, Tammy, and Carter Stallings, and three great-grandchildren.

Funeral service was Monday, April 15 at the Greenwood First Baptist Church with burial at Liberty Cemetery under the direction of McConnell Funeral Home of Greenwood.

Pallbearers will be Delbert Stallings, Jerome Neal, Carrol Basham, Dr. James Burgess, Evan Stallings, and Carter Stallings.
