Clyde V. Conaway, 89, of Clermont, Fla. passed away May 5, 2013. He was born in Hartford, Ark. and attended Mansfield schools graduating in 1940.
He served in the Army during World War II and upon returning to the states lived briefly in Southern California before moving to Arkansas to attend the University of Arkansas Fayetteville. In 1953 he returned to Southern California living in Manhattan Beach, California for 40 plus years and working as a retail clerk primarily managing liquor stores. He returned to Arkansas in 1995 and married Wilma Fox of Greenwood. He moved to Florida following Wilma’s death in 2011.
He is survived by his children, Steven (Sheryl) Conaway of Hawthorne, Calif.; Michelle Jensen of The Villages, Fla.; Marcelle (Larry) Ross of Groveland, Fla.; George Conaway of Tollhouse, Calif.; Linda Welden of Mansfield, Ark.; Deborah Miller of Corona, Calif. plus 14 grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren.
Memorial services will be held in July.
