Dean Scharbor, 78, of Washburn, Arkansas passed away Monday, August 12, 2013 in Fort Smith, Arkansas. He was owner of Dean’s Trucking Company, built and was the original owner of the Washburn Store, owner of Dean’s Bar-B-Que Shack in Greenwood, member of the Barling Volunteer Fire Department and an Air Force veteran of the Korean War.
Funeral service will be 10:00 a.m. today, August 14, 2013 at McConnell Funeral Home Chapel in Greenwood with burial at Washburn Cemetery.
He is survived by his wife, Janie; one son, Paul Scharbor and wife, Nancy of Fort Smith; one daughter, Mary Needham and husband, Allan of Greenwood; three grandchildren, Niki Bradley, Andy Edgerton and wife, Amber and Payton Scharbor and two great grandchildren, Braxton Bradley and Ella Edgerton.
Pallbearers will be Earnest Armour, Bee Needham, Danny West, Danny Scharbor, Drew Smith and James Canada. Honorary pallbearers will be fellow dump truckers.
