Lorene C. Komp

Lorene C. Komp, 88, of Fort Smith, passed from this life March 18, 2014 in Fort Smith. She was born November 10, 1925, in Subiaco, Ark. to the late Henry and Ida Lux Schluterman. Lorene retired from Von Hatten Bakery, was a parishioner of Immaculate Conception Catholic Church and a member of Immaculate Conception Ladies’ Auxiliary.

She is survived by her husband of over 64 years, Lawrence; three sons, David Komp and his wife Reiko of Fort Smith, Fred Komp and his wife Mary of Fort Smith and Michael Komp and his wife Tonya of Ozark, Ark.; two daughters, Marilyn Reed of Peoria, Ariz. and Linda Butler and her husband Bruce of Huntington, Ark.; her sisters, Ann Everett of Lamoni, Iowa and Dorothy Barstch of Fort Smith, her grandchildren, Christi Weir, Rachael Wilkins, Michelle Pass, Jason and Erik Reed, Nikki Burris, Mary Morgan, Joey Komp, Amanda, Maegan and Michael Robert Komp, Bryson and Brylea Butler, Jennifer McDonald and Zachery Brasher, as well as 18 great grandchildren and 2 great great grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her daughter Brenda Brasher and son-in-law Rick Reed.

Mass of Christian Burial was Friday, March 21, 2014 at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church followed by burial Holy Cross Cemetery.

Pallbearers were her grandsons, Jason Reed, Joey and Michael Robert Komp, Zachery Brasher, Bryson Butler and Shandon Slate.
