While looking through the Greenwood Democrat last week, I saw a note that grabbed my attention. It looked very much like my hand writing. Upon reading the article that followed, I realized that it was my handwriting. Forty-five plus years ago I had taped the note to a birthday present for one of the most amazing women I have every met, Mary Ann Gamble. She now writes “Mary’s Meanderings”, a column in her local paper.
Not many people would care enough to put value on a note from a sixteen year old girl and keep it all these years. I haven’t seen her in over forty-five years and simple words always say it best, “Thank you, Mary Ann and I still love ya.”
