We had a very busy week. Many different churches and groups came to sing for us. Tuesday afternoon we had a pizza party for all of the residents. They discussed which their favorite was and who could have made the best pizza.
On Wednesday morning we had taken a few fishing at Charleston Nursing homes annual Fishing Day. There were 10 area nursing homes that attended. They grilled hamburgers and hotdogs for everyone to enjoy while they were fishing. Mildred, Bryce, Mr. McDonald, and Wanda all had a wonderful time. Mildred won “Most Social”, Bryce got a certificate for “Most Fish” and “First Fish”, Mr. McDonald won “Biggest Fish”, and Wanda won the “Cutest Fish.”
On Friday the Gospel Gang came to sing. We had about 25 in attendance. The weekend was also very busy with bingo. Bryce, Fern, Mildred, Emma, and many others won a game or two. Sunday morning service went well. We had 40 attend. A special thanks to The Elmore’s for coming every Sunday morning to sing and give the lesson.
We have a lot coming up with the Senior Olympics and the Queen Pageant.
I hope everyone has a wonderful week.
