The Greenwood Junior High Quiz Bowl Team finished second at the Atkins Invitational on Saturday.   The team entered the single elimination portion of the tournament as the sixth seed out of the 17 teams participating.  They went undefeated until the finals, outscoring teams from Cabot, Conway, and Watson Chapel, before falling to Watson Chapel in the finals.  The team was led in scoring by Freshman Tyler Merreighn, the team's captain.  Other team members were 9th graders Amber Alzufari, Hannah McAdams, Katelynn Sosebee, and Nick Allen; and 8th graders Benjamin Braswell, Taylor Aishman, Alydia Brashear, William Hutchinson, and Savannah Faux.  Carrah Efurd took over coaching duties during the tournament for coach Rick Clow who coached the senior high team.      The senior high team also entered the single elimination portion of their tournament as the sixth seed.  They advanced to the second round of the twelve-team tournament before falling to the eventual second place team Haas Hall.
