<p>The Greenwood High School Quiz Bowl team finished second at the 6A Northwest Regional Tournament Saturday at Searcy. The team’s only loss was to tournament champion Russellville. Greenwood’s captain, Jackson Mitchell, a junior, led the team in scoring, averaging 100 points per game. He earned the Most Valuable Player Award and was named to the All-tournament team. Greenwood Senior Joseph Schneider also earned All-tournament team honors by averaging almost 60 points per game.</p><p>Other participating team members were Seniors Hunter Moore and Lizzie Jackson, Juniors Bryce Cohea and Bee Rainey, Sophomores Blake Bartlett and Caroline Kelley, and Freshman Amber Alzufari. The team is coached by Rick Clow. Carrah Efurd served as the team’s judge. Tyler Merreighn was the team’s scorekeeper. The second place finish qualifies Greenwood to compete at the 6A State Tournament at UAFS on April 9.</p>
