<p>Local author Judi Daily is working to help Autism Speaks in conjunction with Writer’s Unite. She is seeking sponsors and volunteers to help with a charity event to be held Saturday October 25th @ Bell Park Pavilion. The event will highlight local 3rd-8th grade writers and promote literacy. Students were asked to submit an essay about a time when someone helped them and how it made them feel. Proceeds from the sale of the book Helping Hands vol. 1 will be donated to Autism Speaks. <p>Greek themed float decorated with a Bulldog and cans for the Homecoming game. The homecoming class construction project was won by the senior float. The Parthenon had a tumble and is now in ruins. The project collected over 6,200 cans, which is over 1000 more cans than last year. The project was considered a huge success by Coach Jennifer Golden, Counselor JoLynn Dixon, and Teacher JoElla Skaggs. The community and students put in lots of hard work for the success of the project.</p>
