Greenwood quarterback Reid Wheeler threw for 262 yards and three touchdowns to lead the Bulldogs to a 34-10 win at War Memorial Stadium in Little Rock against the Catholic Rockets on Friday.

Greenwood (6-0, 3-0 7A/6A-Central) never trailed and took a 7-0 lead on Wheeler’s 42-yard touchdown pass to Ryan Padilla. The duo struck again as Padilla put the Bulldogs up 14-0 with a 30-yard reception from Wheeler with 7:01 left in the second quarter.

Running back Hoyt Smith added a two-yard touchdown run with 2:17 left in the quarter and Greenwood settled for a 20-3 halftime lead.

Smith scored on an 11-yard pass from Wheeler with 8:45 left in the third quarter to push the Bulldogs’ lead to 27-3.

Kevin Jones added a touchdown pass for Greenwood late in the third quarter.

Greenwood had 185 yards rushing and 304 yards passing along with 23 first downs as they earned their 44th straight victory.

Austin Garnes led Greenwood’s ground game with 17 attempts for 104 yard against Catholic (2-4, 1-2)
