Hackett bowlers reach State

Tristian Anderson won overall medalist in the 1a-2a-3a West conference match held at Fastlanes in Lowell.

The cold weather let up just in time for Hackett’s bowling teams to head to Fastlanes Entertainment Center in Lowell to compete in the 1a-2a-3a West conference match. In the girl’s division, two Lady Hornets qualified to advance to State as individuals. Tristian Anderson came in first overall with a 499 series and Emily Goforth also qualified with a 379. Brenna McCartney and Nikita Forbus both set personal best in scoring but did not qualify.

The Hornet boys were able to secure a team qualification by finishing 5th. Hunter Fuller was the top scorer for the Hornets finishing 4th overall. Ian Bellisario, Garrett Wilson, and Colby Garrett all finished in the top half of the 77 player field. Garrett Wilson set a personal best with a 196. Next for the Hornets and Lady Hornets will be the State Match held in Jonesboro today.
