Callie Harmon won back-to-back state titles in 6a 300m hurdles with a time of 48.18. Harmon competed in the conference meet hosted by Greenwood on May 1 where she placed 2nd in 300m hurdles and 4th in 100m hurdles. This advanced her to the state competition in Russellville on May 8. At the State meet, she also participated in the 4 x 100 relay and the 4 x 400 relay where Greenwood finished 8th and 10th respectively. She chose to opt out of running the 100m hurdles to focus on the 300m hurdles.

At the state meet, Bailee McCorkle also won 1st place in pole vault with a vault of 11’9”. Laurel Yeager placed 2nd in the 800 meter run, 3rd in triple jump and 4th in long jump.

These three young ladies represented Greenwood at the Meet of Champs, a track and field championship in Heber Springs, Ark. this last weekend.

Laurel Yeager took 6th in Triple Jump and 7th in the 800m. Callie Harmon placed 4th in 300m hurdles while Bailee McCorkle earned 6th place in the Pole Vault.
